Gun Store Appraisal

The tried and true way to get an appraisal for your firearm is to go to your local gun store and have them give you an appraisal. You can expect to pay a small fee for the appraisal and if you want you can typically sell your firearm at the store. If you are going to sell the firearm you will want to get a second opinion from another gun store or by another means (like from a Blue Book).

Gunsmith

You also have the option of going to a gunsmith and having him appraise your firearm. The same fee structure will apply. Perfect for a second opinion, but the Gunsmith will not always have the most up to date pricing details. You can get the firearm graded correctly and have the function verified.
