Details
Smith & Wesson's model 442 Airweight revolver features an excellent blend of weight, shape, size, power, and ease of use. At just 15 oz this is a very light compact revolver chambered in 38 special capable of firing +P loads to ensure great knock down power to eliminate threats. This model includes two moon clips to enable rapid reloading. Also, unlike some S&W revolvers the 442 Pro does not include internal locks which is one less part to break down making the pro series ideal for a regular shooter.
With a small internal hammer, double action only (DAO) design, this revolver's hammerless contour is designed to prevent snagging on clothing. A huge advantage of revolvers is their simplicity relative to autos as well as compact shape making them easy to carry on an ankle, hip, purse, or pocket. If you can pull the trigger, you can make it work. The trigger, cylinder latch, and ejector rod are the only three mechanical devices on this revolver that require manual operation making it easy to learn how to operate.
Since it's founding in 1852, Smith & Wesson have been leaders in innovative firearm technology and continue to this day. Horace Smith and Daniel Wesson's early partnership supplied the U.S. calvary with their early Model 3 American revolver and to this day are a leading supplier for the United States military with a reputation for quality and performance.
