Built in collaboration with Viking Tactics, the new Smith & Wesson® M&P VTAC® pistol brings a warrior-like presence to this already duty proven firearm. Available in an all flat dark earth finish, the M&P pistol sports a dual sighting system for both daytime and low-light shooting.
Chambered in .40 S&W, the new polymer pistol retains original design features including interchangeable grips and ambidextrous controls.
The M&P40 VTAC pistols are standard with a 4.25-inch barrel, polymer frame and a durable PVD-coated stainless steel slide.
The striker-fired action pistols measure 7.63 inches in overall length and feature familiar operating controls including an ambidextrous slide stop and a reversible magazine release.
For proper fit, each M&P VTAC pistol is standard with three interchangeable grip inserts that can be switched out in a matter of seconds. The M&P40 has a 15+1 capacity and weight of 24.25 ounces.
On top of the slide, the M&P VTAC pistols feature a 2-in-1fiber optic and tritium night sight with the VTAC Warrior rear sight and a VTAC Warrior front sight. Other standard features found on the VTAC pistols include a Zytel® polymer frame reinforced with a rigid stainless steel chassis, an enlarged trigger guard designed to accommodate gloves and a universal Picatinny-style equipment rail for tactical lights and lasers.
