The Taurus PT-140 Millennium Pro features all of the same great characteristics of the other Millennium Pro pistols with the added punch of the .40 S&W cartridge. The .40 S&W is favored by many police departments across the country, and this Taurus puts 10+1 on tap.
The PT-140 is a very nice concealment pistol, as it is thin and light enough to be carried all day, yet it is big enough to fit your hand and give you good sights to work with.
Using a "single-action/double-action" trigger, the PT-140 gives you the much sought after 'second strike' capability. This means the first and all subsequent shots are a single action pull. If the round fails to fire, the pistol reverts to a smooth double action pull, allowing for a 'second strike' on the cartridge. Many failure-to-fires are a result of hard primers, so this allows the shooter to get back into the action merely by pulling the trigger again.
On the PT-140, the sights are the highly respected Heinie "Straight Eight" sights. These sights are typically a high-end upgrade, yet they are standard on the PT-140.
The polymer frame is aggressively textured, giving the shooter a positive grip on the pistol in virtually any climate conditions, yet the ergonomics are such so you are comfortable shooting during an all-day trip to the local range.
The Millennium Pro also features matching serial numbers on the frame, slide and barrel enhanced finger indexing Taurus Memory Pad, and posi-traction slide serrations.
