Great weapon - Review by Dexter

I have a Kel-Tec PMR 30 Titanium.
Receiver: Titanium Cerakote Aluminum Frame. I have had this weapon for about 6 or 7 months now and have shot it often. Shoots very smooth, and accurate, easy to maintain. It doesn't seem to like the lesser grain ammo, but will shoot it. If you stick with 40 or 45 grain it cycles very good. Finding ammo, and the cost of said ammo are the only problem I have had. I love the gun!!! This is the only 22 I have ever thought of conceal carry. It packs a magnum punch, and at 30 rounds and an extra mag who in their right mind would want to stand in front that. PS. I gave $480.00 for mine in the case with extra mag. Nice lite weapon ease to carry. Love It. (Posted on 1/28/16)
Love it - Review by JohnF

I have had a PMR-30 for three years now and I love it. I have other pistols in other calibers by other manufacturers, including most of the popular modern semi-autos like Sig, Glock, Ruger and S.A.; and history makers like M1911 and Tokarev. The Kel-Tec has the best sights, the lightest weight, the lowest barrel flip, the lowest recoil and the most accuracy out to 25 yards. Add to this the low cost, although I paid a premium over list for mine, and you have a great value. The only drawback I have found is that it does not like certain ammo. Its not the hollow-point or ballistic tips that it won't feed. It is the copper coated lead bullets that stick. Use a good quality plated or clad bullet for best performance. (Posted on 11/22/14)
Grendel P30 remake; thank goodness - Review by canewalker

I have the forebearer of the PMR-30 called the Grendel P30 and it's a very accurate pistol and powerful too. Just compare the price of the FN57 in the 5.7x28mm caliber to the Kel-Tec PNR-30 and then the ballistics of the 5.7x28mm compared to the .22 Winchester magnum. The FN57 will set you back about 2 grand and the ammo is by now probably a buck a pop!

Ballistically, the rounds are about the same. Sure the 5.7x28mm is a couple of hundred feet per second faster but good grief, do you really want to spend all that extra money for a couple of hundred feet per second? Like I said, price the ammo next to each other and see which one makes more sense to buy.

I read REPETER's comments about his PMR-30 blowing the plastic slide cover off of his pistol and all I can say is don't buy or shoot Winchester Western White box .22 magnum ammo. They had problems years ago with double charges and their ammo blew up a Marlin tube fed .22 mag rifle of a close friend of mine, actually splitting his stock from the trigger guard to the tip of the fore end. He caught schrapnel in his forearm but other than that, he wasn't hurt badly, but his gun was totalled. Winchester bought him a new replacement rifle though. This was back in the early 1980's but I still don't trust their manufacturing process to this day on .22 magnum ammo. (Posted on 3/19/13)

I OWN TWO PMR-30'S AND HAVE SEVERAL FRIENDS ON MY RANGE SHOOTING THEM> IT'S BY FAR THE SWEETEST GUN I'VE EVER SHOT AND FOLLOW UP SHOT'S ARE SO EASY CAUSE THE GUN NEVER MOVES.
ONLY PROBLEM IS THE RIFEL ROUND TWICE IN TWO DIFFERENT TIMES EXPLODED ON IT'S WAY OUT BLOWING THE PLASIC COVER OFF THE PISTOL.
ONE HAD BEEN SENT BACK TO KELTEC AND THEY REPLACED IT WITH A METAL ONE I LOVE MINE BUT NOW DON'T SHOOT IT MUCH BUT IT IS THE ONE I PICK AT NIGHT WHEN THINGS GO THUMP CAUSE OF IT'S FIRE POWER AND EASE OF FOLLOW UP SHOTS (Posted on 10/26/12)

I have had one on order from two stores and they seem to have been unable to get one. However I was lucky at the gun show, there were two booths that had one, the first one wanted $600 the greedy sob. I did find one for $475 wich was exorbitant, but I had been waiting for over 9 mo. So what the hell ?.itis one of the sweetest shooters I have, oops I mean had, my son shot it once , and I will have to find another. I think it will be one of the top sellers on the market..

I bought my PMR 30 about a month ago at Firearms Traders Warehouse in Macon, Georgia. So far I've made 2 trips to the range. The pistol has proven to be an excellent shooter in every respect. I've fired about 200 rounds through it - some slow fire, and some rapid. It is accurate, reliable and worth every cent of the $412.00 I paid for it. It is not difficult to maintain and clean. The instructions are easy to understand. The trigger is one of the best I have pulled- especially on an automatic. (I also own an older python and it isn't quite that good, but it is great). Get your hands on one. You will be absolutely delighted you did. (Posted on 4/28/11)

Product Question and Answer

Q: Do you take advanced orders on the Kel-Tec PMR30?

Posted On: 3/12/11 By: Rick

A: No. The Kel-Tec PMR-30 pistols are slow and irregular in distribution, so we can't in good conscience take your money without any idea of when we will be able to deliver your purchase.
Q: When will these be in stock?

Posted On: 2/27/11 By: Brent Williams

A: The Kel-Tec PMR30 has been extremely difficult to get, and keep, in stock. Kel-Tec has assured us that they are in full production at this time, which is 500 units per week. I do not have an exact time on when our next shipment will arrive, but when here, the PMR-30 will be posted on our front page.
