Details

Since it's introduction at the 2008 S.H.O.T. Show, the Ruger LCP has remained one of the most favored 380 ACP carry guns due to its sleek size and lightweight feel coupled with the reliability that you have come to expect from Ruger.

At 9.4 oz. unloaded, this is among the lightest carry guns and at less than .82" wide and 5.16" long it is easy to conceal in a pocket, purse, ankle, or the small of the back. This pistol features a long smooth trigger pull resulting in an accurate shot relative to a gun of this size. An added positive of this pistol is that when the hammer cocks back, it is never exposed past the outside of the slide reducing the chance that the hammer will snag on your clothing.

Although the slide does not remain back after the last round is fired, the slide can manually be locked to the rear by pivoting the slide lock up into its notch allowing a shooter to show clear while at the range practicing.

If you're looking for a quality backup gun that offers excellent concealment, then look no further than Sturm, Ruger & Co's LCP 380. Since Ruger's entrance into the firearm manufacturing business they have led the industry with innovation, quality, and value.

Does Precisely What It's Intended For - Review by gembo

This is a perfect carry pistol. For up-close self defense you carry one in the pipe with a long hard trigger pull. Small and just right for pocket carry. Easy to forget you have it. Highly recommend it.... (Posted on 1/15/15)
Great gun - Review by ProzacFish

In my quest to find the perfect pocket pistol, I tracked down and fired nearly all available .380 auto pistols currently available on the market. IMHO, when comparing the recent breed of pocket pistols (Kahr P3AT, Colt Mustang, Sig P238, S&W Bodyguard, Diamondback DB380, etc) the Ruger LCP comes out on top. While there are certainly better shooting pistols (Sig P238 being the best) the LCP's low cost and high concealability significantly overshadow the advantages of other options. Bottom line: the LCP disappears in a pocket, is an inexpensive but not "cheap" option, and, above all, does its job in a non-flashy way. (Posted on 8/8/13)
Horrendous trigger pull! Ran, don't walk, away - Review by Boscoe

This pistol has the worst trigger pull I have ever experienced. Bought it back in September, but didn't take it to the range until last week. The trigger pull was terrible - and would jerk you off point. Also experienced four misfires/fouls in 100 rounds. Went directly from range to trade in on Colt . 380 Pocketlite.
I would not trust my life to the Ruger. (Posted on 1/27/13)

This is a super easy to carry, accurate for it's size, little gun. It nicely fits my large hand and I can peg bullseyes pretty well from 20 feet. Easy to conceal and accurate and the price is a true value especially with this sale. Nice gun. (Posted on 8/8/11)
