Details
Ruger's rugged SP101 is chambered in 357 Magnum and is capable of firing either 38 Special ammo or hotter 357 Magnum loads. Ruger's SP101 is not only an excellent carry gun, but it is also manufactured with the durability needed for heavy shooting volume.
The SP101 has a smooth, easy to control trigger with a manageable recoil due to its heavier duty frame construction. The front sight is easy to pick up in the wide rear notch making aiming on the draw easy.
If you're looking for a quality defense revolver capable of firing hotter magnum loads, then look no further than Sturm, Ruger & Co's SP101 357 Magnum. Since Ruger's entrance into the firearm manufacturing business they have led the industry with innovation, quality, and value.

- excellent handgun - Review by mike

This 357 snub is good for those who have small hands, as well as large. start off with a 38 special first to get used to the kick on it. A heavy load 357 could turn your hand red after firing 50 rounds. it is very accurate. it can perform with any load 357. In practice I prefer 38+p cause it's cheaper and can control the sp101 easier. I have had mine for 14 years and ruger to me is one of the best (Posted on 4/24/13)Performance Value Quality
