Springfield's XD has a track record for proven reliability and performance. Featuring an ergonomic grip angle, this weapon fits as if it was a natural extension of a shooter's hand helping to improve accuracy on the draw. The curved backstrap and flat sides seem to fit most hands very well improving shooter's accuracy. The grip is also fitted with a slight depression at the top of the grip which is a perfect spot for the shooting hand thumb. Also, this depression is located on both sides combined with an ambidextrous magazine release making this gun well suited for left-handed shooters as well.

I got my XD40 on a trade for a Smith and Wesson Sigma 40(SW40VE) and i do not regret it at all. The XD is quite accurate, easy to use and easy to take apart. I love the loaded chamber indicator and the striker indicator. Gun has fed hollow points of all flavors and FMJ of all flavors reliably with no FTF or FTE. I really enjoy shooting this gun, but i honeslty would probably have bought a Smith & Wesson M&P40 if i were to go out and buy one, only because the Smiths are made in USA instead if Croatia. I don enjoy this gun and have no intetions of getting rid of it. A roommate of mine bought the identical gun but chambered in 9mm, and it performed the same, flawless from the time it came out of the box. (Posted on 6/10/11)Value Quality Performance
