This is the original Taurus Judge revolver that started it all. Capable of firing both .410 2-1/2" shotshell and .45 Colt Ammunition, this revolver is ideal for short distances - where most altercations occur, or medium to long distances with the .45 Colt ammo.
Taurus finely tuned the rifling to spread the shot pattern at close quarters or to guide the .45 bullet to the target.
The Judge features a stainless steel finish, fixed rear sights, light gathering fiber optic front sights, and Taurus Ribber Grips.
The Judge has a 3" barrel topped by a bright red fiber optic sight. The great Ribber grips are standard on the Judge revolver, meaning recoil is very manageable.
Taurus claims the "Judge" is so named because of the number of judges who carry it into the courtroom for their protection. I have no reason to doubt their claims. Taurus stands behind this Judge with a lifetime warranty.

I bought the stainless 4" version. Extremely accurate, has less recoil than my S&W model 19 357 Magnum (2"barrel). The variety of .410Ga ammo available makes this one lethal home security weapon, not to mention the .45 cal. long colt hollow points. Fun to shoot!! (Posted on 12/31/12)Performance Value Quality
