  • Taurus Millenium Pro PT-111 9mm

The Taurus PT-111 Millennium Pro is an amazingly powerful, yet compact, pistol from Taurus that is loaded with lots of features normally only found on much more expensive pistols.

Even though this pistol is slim and compact, it still holds 12+1 rounds of the combat-proven 9mm cartridge.

The PT-111 uses a "single-action/double-action" trigger, meaning the first and all subsequent shots are a light, crisp single action pull. However, if the cartridge ever fails to discharge, the pistol isn't rendered useless, rather, it reverts to a smooth double action pull, allowing for a second strike on the cartridge. As many failure-to-fires are a result of the ammo, not the gun, this allows the shooter to get back into the action merely by pulling the trigger.

The sights on the PT-111 are the highly respected Heinie "Straight Eight" sights. These sights are typically a high-end upgrade, yet they are standard on this Taurus pistol.

The polymer frame is aggressively textured, giving the shooter a positive grip on the pistol in virtually any climate conditions, yet the ergonomics are such so you are comfortable shooting during an all-day trip to the local range.

The Taurus PT-111 Millennium Pro pistol packs a lot of features into one low price making this an excellent value! The PT-111 is backed by a Taurus lifetime warranty.

Great Affordable Firearm - Review by govfamily
This is one of many firearms I have fired. I happen to love this one. Its easy, not heavy, like the safety(s) it has on it and have never had problems with it. I shoot Federal FMJ for practice and carry Federal JHP. Its a fairly good concealable firearm. Its an afforable firearm as well. (Wish I could find one with pink on it)

It really isnt about the firearm one carries...its about the placement of the round. (Posted on 11/25/12)
Candi - Review by Candi
A gun is said to be “in battery” when its aciotn is closed and it is ready to fire. You mean pistols. Wheel guns (aka real guns) can be used in contact if the worse comes to worst. But that doesn't mean you shouldn't try to keep your distance when using a revolver. Your other points still apply, and an aggressor can just grab the revolver by the cylinder to prevent it from firing in the first place.NOTE: I carry a Ruger SP-101 snubby. (Posted on 7/25/12)
