Details
This Taurus PT-145 features a stainless steel slide and polymer frame, creating possibly the best combination in a concealed carry pistol. Chambered in the legendary .45 ACP, the Taurus PT-145 Millennium Pro features all of the same great characteristics of the other Millennium Pro pistols. With more than 100 years of documented stopping power, the .45 ACP is considered by many to be the gold standard by which other cartridges are measured. The PT-145 puts 10+1 of the big bore manstoppers in a lightweight, concealable package.
The PT-145 uses a single action/double action trigger. The first and all subsequent shots are a clean single action pull. However, should any cartridge fail to fire, the PT-145 reverts to a double action mode, allowing you to simply stroke the trigger a second time. Documentation shows the vast majority of cartridges that fail to fire on the first strike, will properly fire if they are struck a second time. Because it is faster than a malfunction drill, many experts recommend this type of trigger system on self defense pistols.
On the PT-145, the sights are the "Straight Eight" sights from Heinie. These sights are generally a high-end upgrade, yet they are standard on the Taurus Millennium Pro.
The Millennium Pro also features matching serial numbers on the frame, slide and barrel enhanced finger indexing Taurus Memory Pad, and posi-traction slide serrations. Taurus packs a lot of features into one low price making the PT-145 an excellent value! The PT-140 is backed by a Taurus lifetime warranty.

Quality Performance Value
The double stack makes it wider and easier on your hand, the memory indents on the side of the frame make hand positions brainless and the safety, slide lock and takedown pins are exactly where they should be.
The ramp below the chamber is huge, doesn't jam with hollow points. Even with such a tiny barrel, it's very accurate. The only reason I gave it a 4-star performance rating is because one of my magazine springs wore out before the year's end. No matter though, I called up Taurus and they gave me an address to send it to, I should get a replacement for free here in a week or so.
If I could give this a 6 star value rating I would. For the money, you really can't beat this gun (Posted on 3/31/11)
