Details
SIG SAUER's 1911s make for an ideal big bore carry weapon with their reputation for exacting tolerances..
SIG's 1911 RCS Nitron model is a very compact pistol designed to be used as a carry weapon for serious shooters who desire to have the fire power associated with the 45 ACP cartridge. With attention to detail that only Swiss manufacturing can yield, this 1911's slide and frame has been put through their Anit-Snag treatment to radically de-horn any sharp edges to remove any possibly rough edges that could catch on clothing in the event of a quick-draw.
This 1911 features a 4.2" match-grade barrel as well as a hammer/sear set and trigger makes this an ideal firearm for self-defense or pistol competitions such as IDPA events.
This firearm features custom rosewood grips and is manufactured with a nitron-finished stainless steel slide and alloy frame to ensure lasting durability. This pistol is relatively lightweight at just 29.5 oz considering that it is manufactured using high end steel components making this an ideal 1911 carry weapon.

- Great CCW option - Review by Rainman48314

From the first mag, this became the gun I shoot most accurately. The surprising thing is that it's my first large caliber gun. Everything I own is 9mm or smaller. The size works for CC when I have an outer garment. I don't yet have an IWB holster but the weather has just turned, making jackets appropriate. I have shoot PMC FMJ 230 gr at the range. I also tested Winchester PDX1 Bonded 230 gr HPs and Speer Gold Dots, again 230 grain. Everything feeds as it should. I'm told the RCS has factory thin grips. This works out perfectly for me. This model has been well thought out by Sig. Some will want a ambi safety but that is simple enough to have done. Nice job Sig Sauer! (Posted on 10/25/11)Performance Value Quality
