Ordered Sig 229 w/ night sights on a Sunday afternoon and picked up at local FFL on Friday. Have shot about 400 Rounds through it so far and it functions great. I plan to shoot it at an IDPA event tomorrow to put it through the gauntlet. I really like the rough textured grip as it provides great control and makes for drawing the pistol easy. I had tried my friends 229 out previously which is what sold me on it as it just fits in the hand great making the natural aim spot on.Quality Performance Value
One thing that is odd is Sig Sauer lists this model in all of their literature including the manual that comes with the Sig as a 13+1 capacity but it actually came with 2-15 round mags. I was a little worried as I ordered 13 round Sig 229 mags at the same time but they fit in it fine as the outside dimension of the mags is the same. It appears that you get a non-listed "upgrade" of sorts with the 2 mags that come with the gun having a higher capacity. (Posted on 4/1/11)
